Renault has revealed its new Kadjar compact crossover at the Geneva Motor Show.
The Kadjar rides on the same platform as the Qashqai, but the styling is very much Renault.
It seems Renault is taking the crossover part quite seriously, because the Kadjar features front and rear skid plates and stainless steel protection plates.
It will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive derivatives with a range of petrol and diesel powertrains. These include a 1,5-litre turbocharged diesel, as well as 1,2-litre and 1,6-litre turbocharged petrol engines. Both manual and automatic transmissions are available.
The interior is lavishly equipped with TomTom navigation and a host of storage spaces. Renault has also included a lot of active safety equipment as standard, which means the Kadjar will likely receive five stars once the folks at Euro NCAP test it.
The Kadjar will be coming to SA, but a release date has yet to be set.
