The Opel Mokka gets a facelift and an ‘X’ added to its name, to indicate that it’s tougher than the previous model with its raised seating position and ground clearance.
The official launch will be at the Geneva Motor Show. The Mokka’s design team wanted to create a more muscular stance and so the front is more sharply angled than before and includes new LED daytime running lights. There is also less plastic trim in the new design.
The existing 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel remains and they come in either 80kW or 100kW and the manufacturer claims a low 3.4 L/100km. There is also a new 1.4-litre turbocharged direct injection engine available that puts out 112kW and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Four-wheel drive is optional on manual models.
