Ram has shown a Power Wagon version of its bakkie, which will be showcased at the upcoming New York Auto Show.
Based on the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty 4×4 Crew Cab, the Power Wagon has a massive 306 kW Hemi V8 engine under its bonnet. As is often the case nowadays, some of the cylinders are deactivated when they aren’t needed in order to improve fuel consumption. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The bakkie rides on 33-inch tyres, and boasts about 370mm of ground clearance. It has a wading depth of 760mm.
