CarNewsChina.com has posted spy shots of the first Chinese-made Range Rover Evoque rolling off the line at the Changshu factory in Jiangsu Province.
The Chinese-made Evoque is a result of a joint venture between Chinese company Chery and Jaguar Land Rover. Construction on the factory started late in 2012, and in addition to Evoques, it will also produce Land Rover Freelanders and a stretched version of the Jaguar XF.
The Chinese version of the Evoque will apparently be around 20% cheaper than the version that is currently being imported into the country, and will go on sale in China in the fourth quarter of the year.
