The new Outlander has been updated with the Mitsubishi Dynamic Shield design treatment in the same way that the ASX was recently facelifted.
Changes include an reshaped front end, with a new grille with chrome trims, LED headlamps and updated rear lights.
Inside the sound systems has been improved and now boasts a Rockford Fosgate nine speaker system powered by a 710 W eight-channel amp and subwoofer. The seats in the second row can now slide 250mm forward which makes for easy access to the third row.
The engine remains the same, the 2.4-litre petrol mill producing 123kW and 222Nm and power is delivered to all four wheels through Mitsubishi’s all-new INVECS-III Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) with a six-step sports mode.
The new Outlander is priced at R549 900 and comes with a three-year / 100 000 km warranty and a five-year / 90 000 km service plan. Service intervals are set at 15 000 km.
