Ford Motors South Africa has made the company’s latest generation infotainment system available in South Africa. The SYNC3 system debuts in the Mustang, Ranger, Everest and Fusion.
There will be a progressive roll-out of SYNC3 for in 2017 across other Ford nameplates – either as a standard feature on selected derivatives, or as an option.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be available on the SYNC3 system once the licence for theĀ Middle East and Africa region has been finalised.
Ford SA says that, “SYNC3 understands even more conversational speech commands, is significantly faster and offers a higher resolution interface that is simpler, and easier to read and use than the outgoing SYNC2 system.”
The language choices for SYNC3 navigation are English, Zulu and Afrikaans.
