American tuning company Hennnessey’s VelociRaptor 6×6, based on the Ford F-150 Raptor, is now available in Australia.
The wild looking six-wheel-drive bakkie is powered by the Raptor’s 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 to produce 450kW, rides on 20-inch wheels with huge Brembo brakes and comes with Fox Racing shock absorbers.
Melbourne based company, American Vehicle Sales (AVS), has secured rights to import, convert and sell the Velociraptor in Oz. James Hill of AVS described the VelociRaptor as ‘the supercar of the off-road world,’ while Hennessey has called it ‘pure aggression on wheels – all six of them.’
The 450kW+ package includes upgraded transmission and ECU, upgraded turbochargers, a performance intercooler, high flow induction, stainless-steel exhaust system, forged conrods and pistons, and more.
Prices start at an eye-watering $505 000 (about R5.2 million)!
