Hunter builds a no-nonsense off-road motorhome

It has been a busy few months in the motorhome market, with loads of luxurious, go-anywhere vehicles being launched all over the globe.

This week it’s the turn of the Hunter RMV Predator, which is unlike any other motorhome we’ve seen so far this year.

The trend seems to be leaning in favour of luxury, but the Predator is actually rather basic. It has some beds, a place to sit and eat, a winch and some water tanks, but other than that, it’s fairly utilitarian.

This trend continues in the cabin, where you won’t find touchscreens or wireless charging stations.

You only get what you need, which includes a 6.6-litre Caterpillar six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine.

It feeds power to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
