Jeep has released a few more details on the all-new Renegade compact 4×4.
The interior will feature a number of creature comforts, including the latest in infotainment systems, but Jeep is also including a few things you wouldn’t normally find in this segment, like heated leather front seats and climate control.
Two versions of the Renegade will be sold – a basic model for on-road use, and the Trailhawk, for proper off-road enthusiasts. The Trailhawk will come as standard with skid plates, hill decent control, four-wheel drive with low range, a rock crawling mode, 17-inch alloy wheels and off-road tyres.
Two engines will be available. A 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 119kW/250Nm of torque and a 2,4-litre Tigershark four-cylinder that produces 137kW and 236Nm of torque. The Tigershark 2,4 is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
