Kahn has revealed the pricing for its Flying Huntsman, which is basically a heavily modified six-wheel Land Rover Defender.
Even though it costs the equivalent of around R4 million, it’s still only half as much as the Mercedes G-Class 6×6 AMG.
The modifications to the mechanicals are quite extensive, but the most important is the fact that Kahn replaced the 2,2-litre Puma turbodiesel with a 6,2-litre GM that has well over 300kW on tap. That’s still some way off the Merc’s 420kW, but not bad for a car that costs half as much.
To ensure that you can always enjoy the glorious soundtrack, the Flying Huntsman features a stainless steel exhaust system.
You could likely import one if you wanted to, but expect it to cost around R8 million thanks to transport and import costs.
