A 1989 LM002 Lamborghini SUV – known as the Rambo Lambo – is going up for sale in the US.
A mere 301 Rambo Lambos were made, and while it was always seen as a rather silly and nonsensical vehicle for Lamborghini to produce, LM002s have become collectors’ items, so it is always newsworthy when one goes up for sale.
This particular model is exactly 25 years old, but only 30 000km on the clock. It even has its original Pirelli Scorpion tyres, which Pirelli had created specifically for Lamborghini’s SUV.
The drivetrain is standard, which means that the vehicle has a 5167cc V12 engine that offers 444 horsepower, and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
The LM002 Rambo Lambo will be auctioned off by RM Auctions on 16 January 2015, and it has no reserve. That said, it is expected to go for somewhere between $175 000 and $225 000.
