Mercedes has previewed a compact crossover called the G-Code.
It’s pretty obvious that it’s intended for city use, as it’s around 320mm shorter than Merc’s current compact crossover, the GLA.
It looks cool and it definitely makes sense for Mercedes to enter this market, as both BMW and Audi are working on similar vehicles.
The concept model is powered by a turbocharged engine that runs on hydrogen. This powertrain powers the front wheels, while an electric motor in the rear sends its power to the rear axle, effectively turning the G-Code into an all-wheel drive car.
The concept will make its official debut at the LA Motor Show later this month.
