MG has unveiled its new GS crossover at the Shanghai Show.
This model is basically a crossover version of the MG6, but it looks rather well with a larger body on top of the saloon platform.
Two engines are available. There’s a turbocharged 1,5-litre petrol that delivers 124kW and 250Nm of torque, as well as a 2,0-litre turbocharged diesel with 162kW and 350Nm of torque. Three transmission options are available, including a six-speed manual, six-speed dual-clutch transmission and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Front wheel drive will be standard, but all-wheel drive will be an optional extra.
It’s not yet clear whether the GS will be sold outside of SA.
