With the world being as 4×4/SUV/crossover crazy as it is these days, it was only a matter of time before Hummer came back to life.
Mil-Spec Automotive is doing just that, but instead of offering a modern interpretation of Hummer, it’s repurposing old models to a small pool of customers. The first truck was built to showcase what Mil-Spec could do, with the second model going to the first customer.
Truck #002 is a bespoke truck: It was ordered directly by the customer with specific requests that make it truly one of a kind. The customer specifically requested a fully adjustable air-ride system along with air ride seats to make the driving experience more enjoyable.
The configuration of #002 also features a slant-back top design finished in a (course) matte Kevlar texture (“Deep Sky Black”).
On the inside, it features all black/powder coated hardware and a full leather interior.
This truck is about the details, featuring perforated leather seats, re-purposed leather grab handles, and leather trim throughout the cabin.
The Mil-Spec Truck costs around R3.7 million (before options) in the USA.
