Lexus have released a teaser image of the updated NX crossover that Toyota’s luxury arm will put on display at the Shanghai Motor Show, for the first time.
The single images shows a new design for the LED headlights. It’s hard to tell at this point but he signature spindle grille seems to remain intact, although it’s possibly that it will be slightly reworked.
The first Lexus NX debuted three years ago and the incoming model will be a facelifted version rather than a completely new design.
The NX shares a platform with the Toyota RAV4 and comes with the choice of two powertrains and the option of front or all-wheel drive. The NX 200t is powered by a 2.0-litre, 175kW turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine. The 300h is the hybrid model that delivers a total system output of 145kW.
Lexus SA sold 286 units of its NX in South Africa in 2016, making it the brand’s most popular product locally, according to Lightstone Auto.
