Nissan X-Trail Adventure
Nissan have undertaken an adventure that surely must rate as a very picturesque journey, circumnavigating Lesotho in two X-trails. The trip, aims to showcase the X-trail’s breadth of talents, the model is a 2.0 dCi XE, with a manual transmission. Economy run champion Willie Nel will pilot one of the two cars, while radio personality Ashley Hayden will be in the other SUV.
The X-trail seems like the perfect SUV for a long trip, which will gobble up over 1000 km, as they take an anti-clockwise route around the mountainous country. Nissan’s best selling SUV should have little problem coping with the arduous trip, benefitting from ground clearance of 203 mm and 17-inch wheels. While inside, the occupants will have many toys to keep the driving experience painless, with the XE model encompassing a multi-function steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity, while the music on the trip will be no problem, the X-trail caters with a USB and Aux port and has an Mp3 compatible CD player.
The two teams will arrive back in Harrismith on the 17th of August, the same place where they left a day prior. If you want regular updates on the trip, log onto Twitter and search for the #xtrailepic hashtag.
