Opel Mokka X arrives in SA [with pricing]

1 December 2016

The Opel Mokka X has been launched in South Africa. This is not a completely new model, but an updated version of the Mokka, that arrived in the country in 2015 (first launched in 2012).

The most obvious change to the exterior of the updated vehicle is to the headlamps that combine new daytime running lamps and LED technology.

The four model lineup of Enjoy and Cosmo trim choices in either manual or automatic remains, as does the 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 103kW and 200Nm.

On the inside, the more modern dashboard architecture from the new Astra has been integrated and the ergonomics have been improved. The Enjoy model is dressed in Milano Jet Black upholstery, the Cosmo in Jasmin Jet Black.

An infotainment system with R4.0 IntelliLink and a driver display comes with the Cosmo model and is available as an optional extra on the Enjoy. Optional on the Cosmo is Navi 900 IntelliLink, which includes a full colour display.

In addition to the optional Navi 900 IntelliLink system Cosmo owners can upgrade to a premium LED lighting package which adds rear LED clusters and auto-levelling headlights and integrated cornering lights.
