The most powerful Range Rover to date, the new SVR, will be showing off its potential at the 2015 Land Rover Africa Cup in the annual showdown between horse and machine.
Flying on blurred feet, plummeting forward like wildfire, mane and tail streaming behind like ribbons, fiery eyes – the opposition is one of Inanda’s thoroughbred polo ponies. Ready to race in what has become an annual tradition that demonstrates natural horsepower against an engine, the horse will be in top condition and a worthy competitor.
The SVR can accelerate from a standstill to 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds. Conversely, the world’s fastest horses can accelerate to 68km/h in as little as 2.5 seconds.
The Land Rover Africa Cup will be hosted on the weekend of 14 – 17 August 2015. Tickets are available online through Computicket.
