SsangYong has revealed two new XIV concept models at the Paris Motor Show.
The XIV, which is SsangYong’s all-new compact crossover, will go on sale in 2015 and the Korean manufacturer hopes to sell around 100 000 units per year.
The concept models at Paris, named “Air” and “Adventure,” are equipped with several new technologies including a Stop/Start fuel saving system and three-mode smart steering with electric power assistance.
XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure are powered by either a 1,6-litre petrol or 1,6-litre diesel engine, and meet the latest exacting Euro 6 emission standards.
The XIV will be offered in front and all-wheel drive, but it’s not clear if this car will find it’s way to SA.
