Subaru has revealed a new three-row SUV concept called the Ascent at the New York International Auto Show.
The concept is fitted with a turbocharged boxer 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and will be revealed in production trim next spring at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Set to compete with Volkswagen’s Atlas, the Ascent measures 5 050mm long, 1 990mm wide and 1 840mm high, with a wheelbase of 2 970mm, and sits on 275/50 R21 tyres.
It will have space for up to eight passengers, come with all-wheel drive, and will be based on a modified version of Subaru’s latest global platform.
The Ascent will be exclusive to the North American market.
