We’ve seen some pretty spectacular body modifications in this business, but never before have we seen a fully-functioning car made of ice.
There’s a very good reason for this – the heat from an internal combustion engine would reduce any block of ice to nothing more than a puddle in five minutes flat.
A company called Canadian Tire has, amazingly, managed to pull this one off.
It has built what it called an Ice Truck. It rides on a Chevrolet chassis and weighs over 5000kg.
As you’d expect, it’s not the fastest truck around. During a test conducted early in December 2013, the Ice Truck drove 1,6km at an average speed of 20k m/h.
It may not be fast, but at least it looks cool.
