Toyota has added a new model to its already extensive Hilux range.
The new model is the 2,5 D-4D SRX Xtra Cab, which sits much higher of the ground that the previous low body version. The result is a ground-clearance rating of 212mm, up from 181mm.
A set of heavy-duty 16-inch steel wheels also do their part in maximising the Hilux’s rough road performance.
The 2,5-litre turbocharged diesel delivers 75kW and 260Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
As standard the 2,5 D-4D SRX Xtra cab comes with air-conditioning, an audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, electric windows, power steering, a USB port, dual front airbags and ABS.
The new retail selling price of this model is R298 700, which is a mere R5 000 premium over the outgoing model.
