The Volvo V90 Cross Country has finally been revealed after much teasing from Volvo, to complete the 90 Series line-up. This all-roader comes with increased ride height of 60mm, some extra body cladding and all-wheel drive.
“Our cars are well known for their safety, strength and durability. With all-wheel drive, increased ride height, and a chassis optimised for comfort and control in all weather and road conditions, the new V90 Cross Country takes our versatile V90 estate and adds the heart of an explorer,” says Dr Peter Mertens, Senior Vice President Research & Development at Volvo Cars.
The V90 Cross Country has undergone rigorous testing in places such as the frozen north of Sweden, at temperatures as low as -40°C, to the searing desert heat of Arizona.
The car all the benefits of the connectivity and entertainment features that were launched with the new S90 and V90, including a high-end sound system by Bowers & Wilkins.
It has been confirmed that the V90 Cross Country will be making its way to South Africa, although no time frame has been given yet.
