Volvo has released the first images of its new S60 Cross Country sedan.
It seems like a strange move, as all the high riding saloon based vehicles in this segment are based on the station wagon variants of said vehicles. Volvo is the only manufacturer to offer a high riding saloon.
The ride height has been increased by 65mm, which might be useful on the odd dirt road, but it’s never going to go much further than that.
At first the S60 Cross Country will only be available in T5 all-wheel drive specification, but FWD models and diesel engines will follow later.
The S60 CC makes its debut at the Detroit Show next week and it’s not yet clear whether it will find its way to SA.
