This video gives some great insights into what makes the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² such an exceptional car.
Heavy duty portal axles, dual strut springs and adjustable dampers, which are controlled from the cabin, are all part of changes that Merceds-Benz made to turn a regular G500 into the 4×4². The ground clearance is a whopping 450mm, with the fording depth to be up to one meter.
It’s powered AMG’s twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine that pushes out 310kW.
The G500 4×4² featured here sports the same optional $14 000 (R220 000) paint job as the regular G-class that Mike Horn will be using in his #Pole2Pole expedition.
