Details of the new BMW X3 have been published on the official BMW Hong Kong site, ahead of its official global reveal next week.
The latest version of this performance SUV will come with three engine options (in Hong Kong). The range topper will be the X3 M40i petrol model fitted with a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder mill that delivers 265kW and 500Nm, with four-wheel drive and a 0-100kph time of 4.9sec.
There will also be four and six cylinder diesel-engined variants badged xDrive20d and xDrive30d.
The images on the website show the more rounded look of the new X3 styling, as well as full LED front and rear lights.
The video shows that the tailgate can be operated by moving your foot under a corner of the car and and button-operated folding rear seats . The driver in the video takes his hands off the wheel, which suggests that there would be some level of semi-autonomous system.
A large head-up display is also visible but the site does not disclose any equipment levels.
