There are three levels of motoring enthusiasm on planet earth.
First, you get people at a commuter level, who use their car as a tool and nothing else. Then, you get the proper motoring enthusiasts. To this person, their car is an extension of their personality. Lastly, you get the die-hard enthusiast. These are the guys who spend their weekends fiddling under the bonnet of their chosen vehicle. If they can’t find anything they like on a showroom floor, they’ll resort to building their own.
Designer, Makrand Patil, is such a die-hard fan. He loves Mahindra brand so much, he actually designed a new luxury SUV for it.
It’s called the Komodo and it’s a stunning mix between a luxury SUV and a military vehicle. Patil says that the vehicle is meant to be wild, just like the Komodo dragon it’s named after.
The design took four months to complete. Patil started by looking into Mahindra’s brand values and the Indian car culture. Four months later, he had a scale model and digital renderings of the Komodo.
There are currently no plans to put it into production, but if were Mahindra CEO, we’d give Patil a job in the design studio immediately.
