Volvo has released a few more details surrounding the next generation XC90.
The new model will ride on Scalable Product Architecture, which Volvo says will lower the curb weight and distribute weight more evenly.
The second row seats will be able to slide forwards to create more legroom for third row passengers. This means the third row can now comfortably accommodate people up to 170cm tall.
The XC90 will also be one of the safest cars on the road, thanks to driver aids like lane assist, driver alert control, road edge and barrier detection and auto braking. We expect a few more safety gadgets to surface over the coming weeks, but it’s probably safe to say the Volvo will be setting a new benchmark in the SUV segment.
The car will finally be revealed in two weeks time in Sweden. We can hardly wait to finally see the finished product.
