Volvo is currently working on a system that will allow cars to communicate with each other.
You might wonder what cars possibly have to say to each other, but consider the safety implications.
One car might encounter a patch of slippery tarmac, after which it will warn other Volvo vehicles to find an alternative route, or just be careful if they’re going the same way.
This system is already in operation in Sweden and Norway, with no less than 1000 vehicles running this revolutionary software. The more vehicles there are, the more information there is about road conditions.
This takes Volvo yet another step closer to building the safest automotive line-up in existence.
