The country’s most established agricultural show, Nampo, continues to be the ideal event for all topics, solutions and innovations that impact the farming industry. Taking place from 12 to 15 May 2015 in Bothaville, Free State, the event is expected to once again attract all influential stakeholders.
Mercedes-Benz South Africa (MBSA) will be showcasing an exciting range of commercial vehicles that are perfectly suited for a number of agricultural applications that match any and every need and want. Through its various brands, MBSA not only offers vehicles but a number of added value chain services and benefits as well.
“Visitors to Nampo need not look further than the MBSA stands as we will be presenting a comprehensive range of products and service offerings for the agricultural sector,” says Kobus van Zyl, Executive Director of Daimler Trucks & Buses South Africa.
Mercedes-Benz Trucks will use Nampo to demonstrate its ability to offer quality products that are coupled with appropriate services and unmatched expertise. These tried and tested trucks will showcase their continued drive to increase fuel savings and ultimately contribute to reduced total cost of ownership.
For FUSO Trucks SA, visitors to the 2015 Nampo show can expect to be impressed by the award-winning Canter LIFT, a truck that has earned farmers’ trust globally. The acronym LIFT stands for Light-Duty International Future Truck and this is indicative of FUSO’s pioneering spirit of always moving forward to the benefit of customers. Nampo is the perfect platform for FUSO to show that it continuously refines the Canter to remain at the forefront of the truck industry.
Also making a return to Nampo will be Freightliner Trucks that have garnered a stellar long-haul reputation for efficiently transporting agricultural produce and other goods. These trucks have earned the title as Heroes of the long haul due to their dependability and low fuel-consumption figures.
Mercedes-Benz Vans will be represented by the Sprinter and Vito, making up one of the most robust van offerings available to the agricultural industry.
“Mercedes-Benz Vans are not only known for their work ethic and tested reliability on the countless farms they operate on, these workhorses also offer secondary solutions. Mercedes-Benz Vans is in a position of dominance as we can offer a diverse number of vehicles that are guaranteed to fulfil a variety of needs,” says Nicolette Lambrechts, Vice-President Mercedes-Benz Vans South Africa.
“This may be a farmer looking for a small, medium or large van to take care of the transport needs of his farming operations, a luxury van to transport his family, to the ideal all-purpose vehicle to take on his next holiday. We have a Mercedes-Benz van to match every need,” adds Lambrechts.
“In addition to the industry-leading vehicles that we will have on display, we will also be showcasing our world-class, benchmark value chain offerings. FleetBoard is our all-in-one package that assists commercial vehicle operators to optimise efficiencies by offering market-leading and proven telematics services. With information on vehicles and trips instantly available for analysis or further processing, all data can be easily integrated in existing programmes,” says Van Zyl.
Van Zyl adds that CharterWay offers its customers mobility and procurement, servicing, and management services of and for commercial vehicles. This range of services is delivered through MBSA’s network of authorised dealers and service points.
“One of the major reasons why we continue to be at the forefront of the automotive industry is our ability to offer a complete package for our customers. This includes Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, with a wide range of vehicle finance solutions, insurance and tailor-made products all designed to accommodate all of our individual customers’ financial requirements,” he states.
Van Zyl also indicated the unique benefit of TruckStore, as the number one address for the buying and selling of all used commercial vehicles. “Farmers and agricultural practitioners can rely on consistent quality, advice and a selection from a large pool of used commercial vehicles of all brands, ages and types,” concludes Van Zyl.
