The 2017 facelifted Volkswagen Amarok now has a 3.0-liter V6 diesel available in three versions: 120kW, 150kW and 167kW.
Lower speced versions will be equipped with rear-wheel drive and customers will get to choose between a manual or an 8-speed automatic gearbox. At an extra cost, Volkswagen will throw in the 4Motion all-wheel drive system, lighter Servotronic steering and larger brake discs.
The facelifted model features updated headlights, a new front bumper and larger alloy wheels, while the interior has a redesigned dashboard and new ergonomic seats.
The maximum payload capacity is more than 1 ton, while its towing capability has increased from the previous 3.2 tons to 3.5 tons.
Volkswagen will launch the updated Amarok at the end of September, with pricing to be announced close to that date. The range-topper version will be the first one offered, while less powerful models will join the range later on.
