Renault has released pictures of the second-generation Duster under its subsidiary’s brand name, Dacia.
In South Africa, and a few other markets, the Dacia Duster wears the Renault badge. No matter the name, we hope that the new Duster will be as capable and well priced as the first-generation Renault Duster, like the one we tested in the dunes of the Namib desert.
No specifications have been released yet for the new vehicle but from the image we can see exterior changes, like a new front grille similar to that of the Sandero, as well as wider LED headlights and larger rear lights. There is a scratch-resistant, chrome skid plate under the front bumper, new aluminium roof bars and 17-inch wheels replace the current 16-inch ones.
Although the new duster will ride on the same underpinnings as the current model, it will be 100mm longer with a little more interior space.
This new version will make its debut at the Frankfurt motor show next month, before going on sale towards the end of this year.
