Audi introduces hot SQ2 at Paris Motor Show

Audi chose the Paris Motor Show to introduce the hottest member of its Q2 line-up, the SQ2.

The SQ2 is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol, which delivers 220kW and 400Nm of torque.

This enables it to sprint to 100km/h in 4.8 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 250km/h.

As with every Audi S model, quattro all-wheel drive is standard in the SQ2. Audi claims it combines high traction with compelling handling. Its central element is a hydraulically actuated multi-plate clutch. It distributes torque continuously between the axles. If the front wheels lose grip, the multi-plate clutch can transfer up to 100 percent of the force to the rear within just a few milliseconds.

The SQ2 has been confirmed for South Africa, though an exact launch date has not been set.
