All-new GLE 63 AMG testing at the Nürburgring

Mercedes-AMG’s all-new GLE 63 was recently spied at the Nürburgring.

The latest version of the fastest GLE is equipped with the same 4.0-litre biturbo V8 petrol as found in the G63 AMG. The base model is expected to produce 420kW and 750Nm of torque, while the S model ramps it up to 450kW and 850Nm of torque.

Performance figures aren’t available yet, but we expect the GLE AMG S to sprint to 100km/h in less than four seconds. Earlier this year we tested the G63 and it completed the sprint in 4.2 seconds. A lighter car with the same power output should be able to come in under four seconds.

As you can see from the footage, the front of the car is still in disguise, which tells us there will be changes to the front of the car that will make it easier to differentiate from lesser models.

That’s if you don’t hear it coming. Watch the video below for that V8 noise.
