This is the one of the most beautiful restoration jobs we’ve ever had the pleasure of laying eyes on. This Toyota FJ43 Land Cruiser has been completely restored by the FJ Company and recently sold on auction for just under R3-miilion ($160 000 ) at an auction in Pebble Beach, Florida.
The company did a full frame-off restoration that saw it rebuild the original engine along with the power steering system and front disc brakes. They installed a new carburetor, suspension, starter motor, pumps, aluminum radiator and five-speed manual transmission, and added a custom roll cage, fire suppression system, LED headlamps and winch.
The interior upholstered in brown leather looks magnificent and the company painted the Cruiser in Olice 637 – straight out of the original factory catalog.
Recently we took a look at Deon Venter’s 1974 FJ Cruiser, which although not in pristine condition, still has immense appeal.
