Here is non-CGI, raw footage of Mad Max: Fury Road. This behind the scenes compilation entitled ‘Crash & Smash’ may be the best thing you watch all week!
With CGI being so commonplace these days, director George Miller’s commitment to doing the ‘real thing’ it’s quite amazing.
The number of cars used and mostly destroyed, in the making of the film was 150. These include the six-wheel-drive Tatra ‘War Rig’ partially powered by two supercharged V-8s and the monster truck fixed underneath an old 1939 or 1940 Fargo (Dodge) bakkie. The crew spent 138 days in the Namibian desert filming, with our own Charlize Theron undoubtedly the star of the show.
