Allow us to introduce you to Clampy, the rock crawling 1986 Toyota Pickup.
It’s far from the prettiest truck we’ve ever seen, in fact, we’re hard pressed to think of an uglier truck we’ve ever seen, but it has loads of character and a cool backstory.
Fred, Clampy’s owner, got him for free from a friend when he bought a new truck. Fred knew it was a bucket of bolts, but hey, he got it for free, so he decided to run it until it eventually died. But as Fred so eloquently states in the video below, “Clampy never died.”
After a few years Fred started with modifying Clampy. It started with a pair of new seats and ended with a car that the owner refers to as over-axled and under-engined.
Quite simply, it’s the ultimate toy, but don’t take our word for it.
