The Land Rover Freelander, or baby Discovery as it shall be known from now on, thanks to the manufacturer renaming and restructuring its entire brand, has once again been spied going through the final testing stages.
The new Freelander, as it won’t be known as, will fall into the brand’s leisure category, which fits in between the luxury (Range Rover) and dual-purpose (the next-gen Defender) categories.
Although still heavily disguised, it’s easy to see which direction Land Rover is going with the styling. The front has the swooped-back profile of the Evoque, while the rear reminds of the Range Rover Sport.
According to www.autoblog.com, it will make use of the Evoque platform and will be available in both five and seven-seat configuration.
