The web is rife with rumours of a new entry-level Land Rover, which makes sense, as the bottom-end of the SUV market is currently the fastest growing automotive segment internationally.
There has been much speculation surrounding Land Rover’s supposed competitor to the GLA and X1, but all we know at the moment is that the company recently filed an application to trademark the “Landy” designation. This small SUV may even inherit a few styling cues from the DC100 Defender Concept of 2011. It would make financial sense to produce a small, sensibly priced SUV based on Land Rover’s most iconic model range. A vehicle like that would have people cueing around the block at dealerships.
