Google has been working on a fully autonomous vehicle for some time now and has finally reached a point where the car is able to navigate a busy city road.
This autonomous car, based on a Lexus RX, previously only worked on a highway, but now it’s been let loose in Mountain View California and it hasn’t crashed yet.
The software Google wrote for this car is able to detect hundreds of objects and how to respond to them.
It is, unfortunately, only programmed for the above-mentioned suburb, but Google is working on expanding the network to other suburbs in the area.
