Nissan is working on a car that can clean itself, which is great news for enthusiasts like us who like to get our cars dirty over the weekends.
The technology is called Ultra-Ever Dry and it’s basically a special coating that creates a protective layer of air between the paint and whatever it is you’re driving through. At the moment it can repel mud, rain and road grit.
Only one car has been coated so far and unfortunately it’s not one of Nissan’s legendary off-roaders, but rather the Note hatch.
Nissan has, however, stated that if the technology works, it will become an aftermarket option across its entire range.
Below is a video that shows how Ultra-Ever Dry works.
