  • BMW M3 bakkie conversion spotted at the Nürburgring

    by Leisure Wheels

    20 May 2020

In case you were wondering, BMW never built a pick-up E46 M3, but for some reason more than a few people decided that it would be a good idea.

Enough people, in fact, for BMW to use it as the basis of an April Fools Day prank a few years ago.

The E46 M3 was equipped with a naturally-aspirated straight-six engine, good for 252kW and 365Nm of torque. It was already an oversteer monster to begin with, so just imagine what happens when you remove most of the weight from the rear wheels.
