Win a 3-day mid-week stay at Treelands Castle in Dullstroom worth R10 000

by Gerhard Horn

19 September 2019

Dullstroom has become a prime weekend destination for people from Johannesburg and Pretoria.

It’s no more than a three- hour drive from the major cities, even if you take the scenic route as we did.

There’s loads to do and much to see, which is both good and bad. Good in the sense that it’s most certainly worthwhile going there, bad in the sense that it has become rather pricey because everyone goes there.

Treelands self-catering accommodation has a number of options, which is why we chose it as the stopover on our recent bakkie shoot-out.

A few members of our group used the Treelands Abbey studios. These are equipped with a king-size bed, dining table and kitchenette. They also come with a braai and a flat screen TV, just in case you’d rather stay indoors than partake in any of the activities Dullstroom has to offer. Perfect for couples and well priced at just R545 per person sharing.

The rest of our group was stationed at the Treelands Castle, which is an experience in itself. It’s a large four- bedroom house, with three bedrooms featuring queen-sized beds. Two of these bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, one takes up the entire top floor and has enough space for a rugby match. The fourth bedroom has three single beds, making it perfect for kids.

The rest of the house is massive. There’s a large living room with a flat screen to watch TV and an equally large braai area where everyone can come together and argue over bakkies while drinking a cold one.

The Castle is also available at R545 per person sharing.

Or you could possibly go there for free…

Treelands Self-Catering Accommodation and Leisure Wheels is giving away a three-day mid-week stay to one lucky family in the Treelands Castle. Take three other families with you, or keep the whole place to yourself. The prize is valid to 30 November 2019 and subject to availability.

We’ll be running this competition online as long as our latest edition is on the shelf – 14 October 2019.

All you need to do is enter your details in the form below and we’ll be in touch if you win.

Winners will be selected at random and the decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are exactly as stated – they are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or any other product. Include your full name, contact details and full information on each entry. Winners will be notified by email and/or telephonically and thereafter receive their prize. Transport, food, drinks and entertainment will not be provided. The competition is only open to readers in South Africa. Staff of Ramsay Media, the sponsor as well as their advertising agencies and immediate families may not enter. Prizes awarded are the responsibility of the competition sponsor. Leisure Wheels cannot be held responsible in the event of any problems arising.
