2015 Ford Everest: first details emerge

4 April 2014

The first details of the highly anticipated Ford Everest have been revealed.

A research and development engineer has revealed to that the production model will look virtually identical to the concept car that has been showcased around the world, most recently at the Bangkok Motor Show.

The interior will, however, not be shared with the Ranger. According to the source, the interior will feature parts from other SUVs and trucks in Ford’s range. It’ll also feature the second-generation Sync system and an eight-inch touchscreen display.

Engines will be carried over from the current generation, while the five-speed manual and automatic transmissions will be improved with an additional gear.

Its is good looking suv…. ford should replace the current 2.5 and 3.0 noisy engines. Ford should get rangers 2.2, 150 hp manual for base model and 3.2, 200 hp for top end model. coz all the rivals in the market have above 160 hp engines. The car should also have best power in its segment.

I have seen it at Bangkok Motor show and it looks great.Doors and windows were closed ,so no peaks inside. The bages on the side did not state the engine size like on the Ranger. But it is realy big.Just wondering if the 3 Liter SD v6 212 Kw ,and the 4.4 SD v8 250 kw from Land Rover, both the best there is, will be used as it is Ford engines and LR is planning to make there own engines.
