Mercedes-Benz has released a video of its new GLE mid-size SUV.
Now, if the new 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE looks familiar to you, that’s because it is really just the old M-Class. Merc has renamed its popular SUV to bring it in line with all its other G-titled 4x4s.
That said, some minor tweaks have been made to this face-lifted (and renamed) version of the ML. Mercedes-Benz has thoroughly revised the SUV. There are, for example, more appealing front and tail ends.
Across the available engine range, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have also been reduced by 17 percent on average compared with the predecessor model series. And, for the first time in its SUV history, Mercedes-Benz offers a plug-in hybrid model, the GLE 500 e 4MATIC, which purportedly combines maximum efficiency with outstanding performance.
The standard GLE models, as well as the high-performance SUV models, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 4MATIC and the GLE 63 S 4MATIC, will make their world debuts in a couple of days at the New York Auto Show.
