The Ford F-150 ‘truck’ is the quintessential American bakkie, but just as imagining a Toyota Hilux double cab as a convertible is an unusual thought, Newport Convertible Engineering (NCE) decided to do something odd and chopped off the lid off this Ford F-150.
It’s not the company’s first go at this. In fact, previously NEC come up with convertible versions of the Tesla Model S, Range Rover, Porsche Cayenne, Cadillac ELR, and Nissan GT-R, to name a few.
NEC doesn’t give any details of what was involved in this conversion, but they have included a video that shows the soft-top roof retracting.
