Audi chose the Detroit Motor Show to reveal the allroad version of its all-new A4.
Unfortunately, Audi SA confirmed that it would not be introduced locally. This is probably as a result of the previous model’s poor sales performance locally.
It’s a pity SA won’t be getting it, because the new A4 look phenomenal in allroad guise.
It’s not all about looks, however, as the new allroad comes as standard with 34mm of added ground clearance, rugged body protection and a Quattro all-wheel drive system.
Audi’s new allroad will be offered with a choice of five diesel powertrains and one turbocharged petrol.
A new version of the drive select system is also included. In addition to comfort, auto, dynamic, efficiency and individual modes, the allroad includes a setting for off-roading.
