We know the Audi Q6 has been confirmed for 2018, but now it also seems as if the line-up will include both plug-in hybrid and hydrogen derivatives.
Audi has also spoken about an all-electric model; in fact, the only models we haven’t heard about are those that will use traditional fossil fuel. That’s if the German manufacturer even bothers with petrol and diesel powertrains.
The electric model, for the record, will have a claimed range of around 500km.
At the moment the hydrogen model is nothing more than rumour, but if Audi manages to pull it off on a large scale, we’ll be deeply impressed.
Don’t, however, expect to see it in SA, as we have zero hydrogen infrastructure and we don’t see this changing anytime soon.
