Audi to produce seven SUVs by 2018

by Leisure Wheels

11 May 2015

Audi’s chairman, Rupert Stadler, recently told Auto Express that SUVs will make up 50% of the manufacturer’s total sales in the next five to ten years.

The current SUV range consists of Q3, Q5 and Q7, but they’ll be joined by the Q1, Q6 and Q8 in the coming years.

Audi is even considering a smaller crossover, which is rumoured to launch in 2018, to slot in underneath the 2016 Q1, which brings the total Audi SUV tally to seven.

Not bad for a manufacturer that only built its first SUV ten years ago.
