Australian police officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command pulled over a 21-year-old and had him tested for alcohol, which turned out negative, after he was caught doing more than double the speed limit. The young Aussie clocked 231 km/h in a 110 km/h speed limit zone on the Hume Highway in New South Wales, in a bakkie!
The good news is that his bakkie was confiscated and his drivers license has been suspended. The offender is due to appear at the Gundagai Local Court on 17 January 2017.
If you would like to race your bakkie, here is a legal and fun way to do it off-road at the Geroteck testing facility. We’ll be hosting an open day to see who can drive away with the Fastest Bakkie title. More details here.
